Dental Office Administration

The Dental Office Administration Program will provide students with the skills needed to succeed in their role as a Dental Office Administrator. Students will gain knowledge in client communication, oral facial anatomy, preventative dentistry, oral pathology and all aspects involved with running a successful dental office such as record management, insurance claims, accounts payable and receivable, marketing and advertising, appointment scheduling and how to build a dental team. Students will also receive the learning tools to improve their communication skills, increase their time management skills, and demonstrate how to be an integral part of a dental team.

Our state-of-the-art facilities give students plenty of practice in real situations with modern equipment. The program includes field training in a dental office as well as extensive practical experience with knowledgeable instructors.

This program provides the student with the theoretical and practical experience. All concepts taught in the classroom are demonstrated and practiced in the clinical setting on mannequins, student partners, and clients. Students must demonstrate these clinical skills while adhering to the ODAA Code of Ethics

The Dental Office Administration course offered at Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and Auxiliaries Inc. contains a HARP approved Dental Radiography course.

The course is 12 weeks (20 hours per week). It is designed to allow the individual to continue to work and learn at the same time. The Course is offered hybrid model which means that all the theory can be taken from the comfort of your home and all radiology lab components will be completed on site.
